Chain Of Fools Improv

“The theater is so endlessly fascinating because it's so accidental. It's so much like life.”

-Arthur Miller

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  That would mean the picture above is fairly self explanatory, except for the fact that a "Chain of Fools" is far from what these improvisational actors are.  There are in fact  Seven Fools ~ Alex, Steve, Will, Merritt, Melissa, Rachel and Drew,  Only 5 of the 7 fools were at the theater this past Friday but still put on a very amusing show.  Between the groups "on the spot" talent for mustering up quippy dialogue, and the topics that are blurted out by the audience, you wont be surprised when the skit involves shopping for groceries in an erotic passionate fashion.  As a photographer I tend to do more listening than paying attention because I am shooting, however just listening to the different voices and characters and witty crude humor I found myself laughing out loud in an awkwardly obnoxious pattern.  I would strongly suggest for anyone to check this group out at The Filling Station sometime.

Red Light Cameras

“Music is love in search of a word.”

-Sidonie Gabrielle

Saturday Night at The Filling Station I saw a band new to myself named Red Light Cameras.  Immediately I was drawn in by the fact that the vocals shooting throughout the 1600 sq. ft Black Box theatre were those of a beautiful young woman named Amanda.  Surrounded by her passionate band they opened and closed our evening at The Filling Station with sounds of Janis Joplin mixed with Taking Back Sunday.  They have tons of energy and sound great folks. Check 'em out!
